A card with a long history#
American Express was founded in 1850 in New York and has issued its own cards for decades. Unlike Visa or Mastercard, Amex usually issues the card itself, and Card Members settle the monthly bill from their bank account.
Depositing with Amex#
- Open the cashier and look in the bank cards group.
- Pick American Express and enter the amount.
- Fill in the card number, expiry date and four-digit security code from the front of the card.

SafeKey#
SafeKey is the Amex version of online card verification. Depending on your account it asks for a face or finger scan, an app notification or a one-time code. The step protects the card if its details ever end up in the wrong hands.
Keeping track#
Every deposit shows on the Amex statement with the date and amount, which makes it easy to compare spending against the session budget you set for the game.
Amex rewards and casino spend#
