The XRP Ledger#
XRP has run on its own ledger since 2012. There is no mining: transactions settle in three to five seconds and are authorised only by signatures from the account’s keys.
Sending XRP#
- Pick XRP in the cashier and copy the address and any tag it shows.
- Send XRP from your exchange or wallet, including the tag.
- The ledger settles in seconds.
- Open Apple of Fortune and place the first bet.
Keys and seeds#
Only the account’s keys can authorise an XRP payment, so the seed and private key need the same care as a bank PIN: offline, private and backed up.
Buying XRP#
XRP trades on more than 100 markets worldwide. Withdraw it from the exchange to the cashier address with the tag, and it settles before you have opened the game.
Withdrawals#
