Rows one to four: the warm-up#

The bottom four rows each hide one core among five apples, so four picks in five land on a whole apple. The multiplier rises by a quarter each time: 1.23×, 1.54×, 1.93× and 2.41×. Players who like frequent small collections often stop somewhere in this stretch, where a 10 stake turns into 12.30 to 24.10.

Rows five to seven: the middle climb#

Row five adds a second core, and from here three apples in five are whole. The step size grows to about two-thirds per row: 4.02×, 6.71× and 11.18×. Clearing row seven lifts a 10 stake to 111.80, which is where the board starts to pay in a different league.

Rows eight and nine: the big steps#

Three cores now share each row with two whole apples. Every clear multiplies the running figure by two and a half: 27.97× after row eight and 69.93× after row nine. A 5 stake that reaches row nine collects 349.65.

Row ten: one apple left#

The top row is the hardest choice on the board, with four cores and a single whole apple. It also carries the biggest jump: from 69.93× straight to 349.68×, five times the row below. Clearing it pays at once.

The step column is the mirror image of the odds: wherever a pick gets harder, the multiplier grows in proportion. The odds page shows how likely each level is from the first click.

The fairy-tale board#

The ladder sits inside a frame of wooden planks wrapped in vines, leaves and pink blossoms, with the multiplier for every row in a column along its right edge. The Evil Queen watches from the left with a red apple in her hand, Snow White waits on the right, and a bluebird circles above the forest. Whole apples glow on green cells, cores show on red ones.

Questions & answers

Levels questions

How many levels does Apple of Fortune have?

Ten, one per row of the board. Each row has five apples.

Why does the multiplier jump after row 4?

Row 5 adds a second core, so a pick is less likely to land on a whole apple and the step grows from about 1.25× to about 1.67×.

Is there a bonus round or free play feature?

The ladder is the whole game. Every bit of the excitement comes from deciding how far to climb before you collect.

What does the top level pay?

349.68× the stake. At 1 that is 349.68, at 10 it is 3,496.80 and at 30 it is 10,490.40.
